Psi Upsilon's 173rd Convention was held in Bellevue and Seattle, Washington from June 17 - June 19, 2016 under the auspices of the Theta Theta chapter (University of Washington).

Evan Terry
New Executive Council president, Evan W. Terry, Epsilon Phi '93 (L)
with past president David A. B. Brown, Epsilon Phi '66

First elected to the Executive Council in 2007, Evan W. Terry, Epsilon Phi '93 (McGill University) is now its 24th president. Prior to joining the Executive Council, Evan was elected to the Foundation board of directors in 1998 and served until 2007. He held the office of treasurer and is currently a member of the scholarship committee.

Evan's Psi U lineage includes:

Evan is a senior manager in West Monroe Partners’ Advanced Analytics practice, based in Chicago. He has more than 18 years of experience pairing business acumen with deep technology expertise to deliver data management, business intelligence and analytics experience.

Evan earned an MBA from Columbia Business School at Columbia University in New York, and a BA in Economics and Computer Science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Brad Corner, Omicron '72

After serving the Fraternity for ten years as an alumni term member of the Executive Council, Brad Corner, Omicron '72 was elected an Honorary Life Member.

Daniel Shippen, Zeta Zeta '18 (UBC) (L) and Stuart Slayton, Lambda Sigma '17 (Pepperdine) will serve as the undergraduate term members of the Executive Council in the coming year.
Ross Szabo
Ross Szabo
CEO, Human Power Projects
The 2016 Leadership Institute featured Ross Szabo, a leading presenter on mental health issues on campus. His program, Beyond Happy Faces: Taking Charge of Your Mental Health gave those attending the Leadership Institute the tools they need to address mental health effectively, a more complete education of mental health, and an understanding of brain development. He taught participants about coping mechanisms and showed the important steps to help a friend in crisis.

Other Leadership Institute topics included developments in insurance and risk management, Freedom of Association for college fraternities, living Psi U's values and best practices roundtables.

The 174th Convention will be held in Lexington, Kentucky June 23 - 25, 2017 at the historic Campbell House Hotel.

Michael Herr, Pi '61
Michael Herr, Pi '61 (Syracuse), passed away on June 23, 2016. His book, Dispatches, received wide acclaim for bringing the Vietnam War home. He is also credited with co-writing both Full Metal Jacket and Apocalypse Now.
