Psi Upsilon Today March 2014

The Psi Upsilon Foundation hosted an event at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT on March 13 where Scott Skyrm, Eta '88 (Lehigh) discussed his latest book, Rogue Traders.

Alvin & Friends

The friends in Alvin & Friends include Tom Leghorn, Delta '77 (NYU) and his wife Theresa. They are co-owners of Alvin & Friends along with Alvin Clayton (above) and CNN legal analyst Sunny Hostin. Tom is a trial attorney at Wilson Elser in NYC.

Zagat rated the restaurant, located in New Rochelle, NY, 26 (out of 30) for food, 26 for décor and 26 for service. Westchester Magazine included it as one of the "Best of Westchester" for 2013. The restaurant offers a menu influenced by Southern and Caribbean flavors in a sophisticated space that is both elegant and comfortable. Oil paintings, created by Alvin Clayton, are part of the restaurant's signature look.

According to Alvin: "The restaurant is really an extension of my home; I want people to feel welcome from the moment they step through that door. I know that people have choices, and I'm genuinely honored that they choose to be with us."

He joined the Fraternity staff in 1972 becoming executive vice president in 1973. Henry held that position until 1987 when he became executive director of The Psi Upsilon Foundation, a position he held until 1991.

Henry's son, Tom Poor, Gamma '65 (Amherst College) has generously offered to help build the fund by matching gifts made before June 30,2014 up to $15,000. As the fund grows, interest earned from its investments will fund larger scholarships each year.
