Social Excellence (Undergraduates)
Vince Fabra, Director of Programs
PhiredUp Productions

Psi Upsilon's core values include moral, intellectual and social excellence. Social excellence became a core value when we recognized that we have an obligation not only to our brothers and to our own self-improvement but we also have an obligation to the society in which we live.

Social excellence is a state of perpetual generosity, curiosity, positivity, and openness to limitless possibility. A desire to intentionally connect with others. Acting in a responsible and respectable manner with high expectations of others. Living everyday with integrity as the best version of oneself.

You will come to understand social excellence through intensive conversation skills sessions and experiential social challenges. The program is designed to increase the social confidence of our members, and to prepare them with the skills that are not only necessary for recruitment success, but also for success in business, relationships, and life.

Vince Fabra is a native of New Orleans. Vince earned a Speech Communication degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he held the position of Student Government President. Prior to becoming director of programs for Phired Up's men's division, Vince served as a traveling consultant for Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity.

Governance Issues for Chapter Corporations (Alumni)
Scott D. Himsel, partner Baker & Daniels

Scott D. Himsel, Phi Delta Theta

Psi Upsilon's Constitution requires every chapter to create an alumni chapter corporation whose purpose is to conduct the affairs of the corporation, to assist in the financial management of the undergraduate chapter, to guide the undergraduate members in the traditions of Psi Upsilon and to hold title to the chapter house if one exists.

The management of the chapter corporation carries with many legal responsibilites, not the least of which is filing an annual tax return

These issues will be addressed by Scott Himsel, a partner in Baker & Daniels and a member of Phi Delta Theta. Scott provides advice and counsel to faith-based institutions of all kinds; sororities, fraternities and their supporting foundations; colleges and universities; student membership organizations; amateur sports organizations; charities and other exempt organization clients.
